I also had a family member sign rights over to me, only to have the 2 yaer old twins and a 10 yaer old taken from me due to lack on the welfare system. I can not go to much into the situation due to me now getting an attorney and fighting for the boys who have now been in 9 foster homes. I should have adopted them long ago. I have been involved in this case since they were born and it took me a year to even get them in my home after the mother and father signed their rights to me so they could stay in the family. The lies they have told and the things they have done only make me think I am dealing with monsters. I don't sleep now and to think age 2 babies who think i am mom and dad is dad have been ripped from our loving home. When we got them they had alreayd been in 7 foster homes and had no idea how to even function in a family or interact with anyone. When they took them from my home, they were so torn, it almost killed me. My heart misses them so and I pray they will not be gone long.
