I had a million thoughts going through my head while watching the adoption scam story on The Montel Williams show this morning. Sadly, it was your
typical scam story and sadly it was your typical media take on adoption scam stories.
There was so much I wanted to say about the show, but THE ENDING…. The ending made me forget everything else. If I didn’t have a nice big screen TV and knew my husband wouldn’t kill me, I would have thrown something at my darn TV!
So, at the very end, Montel is trying to sum things up and he says “Buyer Beware!” BUYER BEWARE!!!!! BUUUUUYYYYYERRR BEWARE!
Oh my! This is not a car, a house, or a cruise to the Caribbean we are talking about here! This is a human life, a precious child, not a possession being purchased! Through out the whole show Montel kept talking about the child as if it were a possession and kept mentioning “contracts.” While I do understand that prospective adoptive families are entering into a contract with an agency that involves money, no one is entitled to a baby which is basically, in my opinion, the gist of what Montel was saying.
I just can’t get over the buyer beware part! I’d hate to see my blood pressure at this moment!! I can’t wait to hear what my fellow bloggers have to say about the show, for now, I’m off to calm down!

I will let you know how I feel after I see it. It doesn’t come on in my market until noon.
I watched that too and was really peeved… for multiple reasons.. the whole buyer beware thing was a huge no-no.. what was he thinking? and him saying how we should all adopt from ” our own backyard”
Montel should not have use his race.race don’t have nothing to do with him adoptioning he should be ashamed of his self.he should have to wait like everybody else
