It’s hard to believe that Christmas right around the corner but it is! It will be here before we know it. If you are the type of person who enjoys making home made gifts for people then you definitely should start soon!

This month’s crafts post is a very cute photo album that would be great for the upcoming holiday season or just any time at all really!
Adoptive moms can make these as an awesome gift for their children’s birthmothers or birth grandmothers. Birthmoms could make one in a fun character fabric for their child to hold special photos in or just make one for yourself! They’d be great gifts for other birthmom/adoptive mom friends.

Materials Needed:

• Photo album (Any size will work)



• Batting (very thin kind)



• 2 Different types of material in complimentary colors or patterns



• Ribbon (to match)

• Glue or Glue gun (I prefer the glue gun for this project.)



• Cardboard

Directions:

1. Cut your batting to fit the album and glue it down.
2. Cut one of your fabric choices to fit the outside of the album. Glue it down on the front of the album. Cut slits in the fabric where it will lay in the spine of the album. Glue the flaps from the spine down and then glue down all four corners. Pay attention and get the corners flat.
3. Cut two cardboard panels the same size as the inside of the album. Cover those with the complementary colored/patterned fabric.
4. Cut your ribbon in half and glue one end on each of the inside panels of the album.
5. Now glue down your fabric covered panels on the inside. This covers the messy edges of the fabric from the front and makes the album look more polished.
6. You are almost done! Accent the front of the album as you desire and tie it closed using your ribbon!

All the photos are taken by me of different albums I have made. I shared several so you could see how munch you can do with these – be creative and have fun! So, make a bunch, they look spectacular but can be done in under an hour!
