I really hate the fact that while I was in a relationship because I was placing Supergirl the nurses, well, one stupid nurse, thought that I was a super bad person.
It is really stupid for someone to make a comment about you when they don't even know you.

The same could be said of adoptive parents, by the way. To some birth mothers, we are self-entitled baby robbers who prey on poor, desperate birth mothers with our loads of cash (hah).

To others, we are saints for opening our homes to poor, abandoned children.

Neither extreme is really accurate. Most of us are simply people who want a family, who have a lot of love to give, and who want to to share that love with a child who needs it.

We aren't perfect. We aren't rich. We arn't kidding ourselves about being able to provide the "perfect" home for the child we bring into our home. But at the end of the day we are usually glad that we decided to expand our family this way.

Some days the question is open for debate, of course. That's the "human" part. But most days, we're very thankful.
