I am thankful for the funny and cute little things that my birthson, Charlie says. He is such a funny little boy with a very funny personality. It has been so neat watching him develop into his own little person with his own distinct personality.
Like all children around his age, he comes up with some pretty funny (and cute!) stuff and comes out with some pretty funny statements! A. (his adoptive mom) enjoys calling me up out of the blue and sharing something especially funny that he has recently done or said that she thinks I might find funny too. I’m thankful that she takes the time to call me and share these little funny things (that may seem trivial to others) with me!
So here is a top five list of my favorite funny and cute things Charlie has said!
- There’s a little boy he knows named Isaac who is infamous for misbehaving and getting into trouble. Charlie says, “But Isaac is in the Bible, so he can’t be bad!”
- One time Charlie was playing with a tiger stuffed animal and a doggie stuffed animal. His mom asked him what he was playing and he said they were brothers. She said “A tiger and a bear, brothers?” He said, “Come on, Mom, they were adopted!”
- Not sure what brought about the next statement, but he said, “I love hot dogs and hot women!” Keep in mind, he’s five!
- Last Thanksgiving, Charlie woke up and went asked his Mom if it was Thanksgiving Day. She said yes and then he asked her where his candy was. She said “what” and was quite unsure as to what he was talking about. He said, “Well on Halloween I get candy and at Christmas there is candy in my stocking, so don’t I get candy today?”
- And of course, it’s too cute and funny when he calls me “Cola” or his “burpmom.”
I’m thankful to hear the cute and funny things Charlie says and I’m thankful that I have written them in my journal so I’ll never forget them!
