If you had asked me five years ago what blogging was I couldn’t have told you. In fact, I’m not sure if very many people could have told you what blogging was back then. But blogging has taken the nation by storm as web journalists share their insights, daily life, thoughts, and opinions with the world.
Before becoming a blogger here at Adoption Blogs, I had tried blogging several times before on some of the free blogging sites as well as on Noah’s website. But I just had a hard time sticking with it. I didn’t know if people were really reading my posts and I would quickly loose interest in blogging.
When I became the crisis pregnancy blogger back in June, I was wary as to if I would like blogging or not but I really wanted to give it a try. I thought with a focused topic and the accountability of knowing that others would definitely be reading my posts, that I’d be better at keeping up and staying on task with blogging.
Surprisingly, I’ve ended up loving blogging! I am thankful for blogging! I recently admitted to Nancy Ashe that in the beginning, I wasn’t sure if I’d really like blogging or not. She told me that many of the best bloggers were unsure of whether they would like blogging or not either.
Blogging because it is has been such an outlet for me. I’ve had to be completely honest with myself (and you readers) and have laid it all out in some of my entries. At times, I’ve felt vulnerable and other times I’ve had issues come up that I thought I had dealt with and didn’t realize were even still issues. I’ve been able to work through and deal with those issues as they arise.
Reading the other blogs has been helpful too. Other birthmom bloggers have helped me see some scenarios and situations in a different light. Adoptive parent bloggers have helped me see their point of view. I’ve been touched by things that some of the other bloggers here have written.
So, I’m thankful for the
internet and blogging!
