First of all let me say many thanks to everyone who left a comment and entered
the book giveaway I was hosting for November - Adoption Awareness Month!
Everyone was very kind in their comments, and many who had not yet had the opportunity to read the book yet, were very excited and hopeful to win the free copy. I truly wish that I could award a copy to each of you who replied, it is really a great book. Sadly I could only choose one, at random reader.
And that
WINNER is...
katmom2
Congratulations to you
katmom2, and your copy of ‘Forever Fingerprints’ will be on its way to you, along with one other special adoption related book courtesy of EMK press. In katmom2's comment it seems she was worried about getting her entry in at the last moment, but she was just in time to win the luck of the draw for two great books.
I would also like to send a
BIG thank you out to
EMK press, who so generously donated several books for me to give away, one of them being ‘Forever Fingerprints’ by
author Sherrie Eldridge. I will be awarding that and another book in this drawing, and would like to host another give away soon for the remaining books that were donated, so stay tuned!
I am having a hard time believing that the entire month got away from me here. Where did it go? I of course did not get to do all the wonderful things that many at the blogs were talking about doing in honor of November - Adoption Awareness Month, but I certainly tried. Even though I have been very sick most of this month, I still was able to host this great giveaway, and do a reading of ‘ Forever Fingerprints’ at my local library. On a more personal note, I was also able to have two open adoption visits for my children, even though one I was unable to attend. I also enjoyed mailing some little things to my children’s birthparents as well as friends who are birthparents just let them know that I was thinking about them too this month.
And now for a little break!
For all my wonderful readers, I will be taking a little break to attempt to recover with some of my health issues that have been slowing me down. I hope to bounce back quickly and have posts here on the open adoption blog that will update you, and prepare with you for the coming holiday season, and all the visits Christmas and New Years can bring. If you care to wish me well with a comment here, it would be appreciated, and might even help me recover all the more quickly.
