Christian Adoption Blogger, Laura Christanson,
posted about a cool scrapbooking Contest.

The deal was you were to make a scrapbooking layout on a way that scrapbooking has changed your life or that you have passed on a legacy. Well, you know how much I love Charlie’s life book and what a great thing I think it is, so I decided to enter the contest and make a layout about passing on my love and legacy to Charlie through his life book.
I worked hard on my layout and poured lots of love into it too! I began by drawing it out on regular paper, getting my ideas down on paper is always the hard part. Once that was done, I went on to the task of collecting the pictures and memorabilia to go along with the layout. I even had to enlist A’s help to take a picture of Charlie looking at his life book as I knew it would make the layout all the more the special. Once all that was done, I moved on to the creative part. Searching for just the write digital scrap ware that looked like “me.” After a few days of hard work, tweaking by my best friend, staring at it a few more times, I finally had it and was happy with it. The two page layout was entitled it “Passing on My Love.”
Granted my layout did not win the contest, but that almost doesn’t matter to me anymore. I had fun making it and it is just one more page in my scrapbook and in Charlie’s life book.
It’s a little hard to read the text in the picture above so if you’d like to see the layout bigger,

Happy Love Thursday to all!
