I have been looking for this picture for almost a month now! I was so excited to finally find it in the bottom of my Charlie's picture box. Doesn’t my husband look so adorable in his scrubs?
I love this picture because of the story that goes behind it. Charlie was born via emergency c-section four weeks early due to
preeclampsia. The doctors had the Neonatal Intensive Care team waiting outside the operating room because they thought Charlie would need to be whisked away to the NICU since he was a little bit early and I’d had so many complications during my pregnancy. But, thankfully, Charlie was born with no problems or complications and was one healthy little 4lb 6 oz baby boy. Because, he was healthy, they let J walk him from the operating room to the baby nursery to be thoroughly checked over.
My mom, best friend, S, and A were all waiting for the news in the lobby. As the story goes A saw J walking with Charlie but didn’t realize it was J with Charlie. She said “Aw, there’s someone with another baby.” Then, my Mom realized it was J and she said “That’s Jason!” And they all realized it was Charlie and went rushing over. They were very excited and surprised to hear and see that he was healthy and had no complications and no need for the NICU team that had been waiting. My Mom snapped this picture then. J bent down and let A get a good look at Charlie and then the nurse said they could see him more later and must get him to the baby nursery.
I love that little story and I’m happy that Charlie was born healthy and didn’t require the lengthy NICU stay that Noah did.
Oh, and J thank you for not divorcing me for posting this picture on the World Wide Web!! ;)
Happy Love Thursday to all!
