It has been just a bit stressful in my home this week, so I am behind on pretty much everything including my blog. My daughter Cierra has had a very reactive couple of days after school, although (as usual) her teacher has reported that she was “just fine” when there. In the few blog posts I did accomplish this week, I was taken to task with some rude remarks from a reader ( no longer accessible because I took the liberty to hit the delete button). Then after not one, but two costly repairs needed for our van, we are basically broke till next week. So what has this got to do with love and a belated Love Thursday?
Well I honestly believe that old saying, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. While things have been tough, I have decided to pick myself up and get back on track to the best of my ability. Usually it is when I am under pressure that I end up getting more work done than usual, once I stop obsessing over what I can’t change, and get start working on what I can fix. Once I get going, fixing what I can, the things around me seem to get easier, and I feel the love beginning to flow back into my life.
I realized yesterday (to late to post though), that I have got more positives going on right now than the negatives that I was so focused on. I was able to get seven loads of laundry done on the way to help me arrive at this conclusion too! Once we all had clean clothes, and I was calmed down, I could start feeling good about the things that are going well.
*We are looking forward to a visit with my son’s birthmom and his baby brother in early October.
*The people around us who are supportive of our struggles with our youngest daughter have been a blessing.
*The hot weather has receded and the hint of fall is in the air (my favorite time of year!)
**Last but not least, I even got a wonderful phone call Thursday from
the Stocklaufer family, and found out that the court, upon further consideration, has granted them a hearing after all! That news alone just made my whole week!
So yes, RAD child challenges, disgruntled readers, and frustrating lack of dollars around my house are all do-able, especially when the other stuff around me balance it all out. I am feeling better, even though I missed the real “Love Thursday” post. The news from that day, along with my other hard found revelation (buried under all that laundry), was too positive not to share!
Happy Love Thursday, and continued prayers to the Stocklaufer family!

(I will share with you all, they have received very little up to this point in donations, and they may well have an expensive legal bill when all is said and done. Please consider even a small donation, it would be appreciated.)
