She did eventually choose to visit and I have been a witness that this is not always easy for her. I think if you asked her she though she would prefer things as they are and not her original plan of a closed adoption. <br /> Sometimes encouragement is all a mother needs, not just to parent if possible, but also to remain involved if adoption is her decision. I know that I would have - not necessarily because it would have been easier.
