Happy Halloween!

Halloween is kind of a fun holiday isn’t it? Pumpkins, candy, fall festivals and carnivals, more candy, costumes, and even more candy! It’s more of a kids holiday, but I have fun watching all the kids. It's also a reminder that it really is fall, my favorite season!

I love seeing little kids dressed up and doing the whole costume thing. Charlie’s first Halloween he was Mickey Mouse and his sister was Minnie Mouse. How cute is that? His second Halloween he was a little lion cub. I don’t remember his third Halloween! That was the year my grief was at its worst and I pulled back some. I’ll have to ask A. what he was because now it is bugging me that I can not remember. Oh well.

Last year, his fourth Halloween, he was spider man. Noah was spider man last year too, so that was kind of cool. This year he is going to be a pirate.

Do you do anything for your birthchild at Halloween? I know some birthmoms who send their children cards and/or candy. I typically send a card to Charlie and his sister for Halloween. I thought about sending candy this year but then opted just to send Halloween stickers so I could just stick it in the mailbox and not have to run to the post office.

We will be taking Noah, I mean Superman, to do trick or treating at the mall. The whole door to door through the neighborhood thing is not easy in a wheelchair and trick or treating at the mall is safe and fun. I know Charlie and his family did trick or treating at the mall as well last year. Although it was a different mall. I’m not sure what they are doing this year, probably the mall again though.

Everyone have a very safe and Happy Halloween!

I mailed out her card the other day, she should have gotten it yesterday. My Grandmother has this tradition about getting all the kids some candy but I figured I wouldn't start with that one just yet. A 2 1/2 year old is hyper enough without added sugar ;)
