I want this back.
Ok, not this exactly (this is Cierra’s last year preschool version of the same thing) but I want the one that Carson made that looks just like this back. I am not going to ask though, so I am not going to get it. I guess I will just have to hope that it is kept, and treasured, and never makes it with in twenty feet of the nearest trash can. I am pretty sure it will be ok, just not here with me anymore.
The picture is of the little apple tree that all the preschoolers at our church school make when they are in the three year old class. A lot of the art work the kids do is not so interesting or noteworthy, but I do like to save just few of the really cute things. The little apple tree made my cut off in the cute department. I have Danika’s little apple tree, this is a picture of Cierra’s little apple tree, and Carson’s is now in a box that I gave his birthmom P when they were here the weekend before last from Texas. I goofed and while I put a few of his other cute items from school together for her, somehow this one particular one, the one that I always kept for everyone else made it into her box by mistake.
Did I say that I want this back?
It’s not that I don’t want P to have some of our little man’s great projects from school, I do. I really wish she was even here for things, like this Thursday when he has a field trip to the punkin patch. Nothing would make me happier than to invite her along, and send some of crafts made that day home for her collection, but that darn little apple tree was mine. I guess I am just a bonafide, hard hearted, selfish Indian giver, if ever there was one.
I know the whole thing is silly. Someday P will whip that little apple tree out of a box to show our son, and he will be glad that I shared some of his “bestest” stuff with her. In the mean time, do you think I could talk Carson and his teacher into constructing a duplicate? No one has to know a thing, as in that I did not really intend to share that one special little apple tree with P, right?
I know none of my wonderful readers will tell on me, otherwise you will all find those naughty pictures you took of yourselves posted on MySpace!
