I have two adopted boys in closed adoptions – this is very unusual with the two agencies we worked with (these were both birth moms’ choices). Both boys know they are adopted and we are very open about talking about it(they are 7 and soon to be 30. My husband was also adopted.

I have not heard of this book, but would really like it because most of the adoption books we have here that are age appropriate are more about them coming to our family. Thanks for letting us know about this book.

I am mom of 8. My six younger kids came to me through foster care. Three of them have aged out and once the next older one has, we will officially adopt them (3 are siblings that DCFS won’t tpr). Our youngest two have already been adopted, in an open adoption, and I would love to read them this book! They are so proud of being adopted and don’t understand that although they’re bios to each other, their older siblings aren’t biologically related, they’re just their brothers and sisters.
