Thursday was a huge day for Bob Wilkey of Inverness Florida, he became a father for the first time to a new daughter Darlyn. I’ve always been a huge Bette Midler fan. She was one of the singers that I molded myself after as a girl. I loved her music and thought she was so cool with her bright red hair.

Not too long after becoming a birthmother, I came across a Bette Midler song called Lullaby in Blue. I have always loved daisies for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was very close to my paternal grandmother and spent a lot of time with her. Her name was Daisy so because of her that flower has always been one of my favorites. Give me daisies over roses any day and I’m a happy woman.

I wanted daisies in my bridal bouquet in memory of her. Carrying those daisies in my bouquet that day made me feel closer to her.

I recently came across this poem and instantly fell in love with it. It talks about how God weaves the events in our lives and I truly believe that.

I don’t necessarily believe that it was in God’s plan for me to become unexpectdly pregnant at a time in my life that I couldn’t care for my baby .
